julia rodricks
Growing up at home in Maryland, I played for the Baltimore Stars Youth Hockey Club and Susquehanna Rapids Girls Program. However, I finished my youth hockey career with the Mid-Fairfield Stars in Connecticut.
Coach Julia played NCAA DIII varsity hockey at Manhattanville College (2011-2012), Connecticut College (2012-2015) and has gone on to earn a Level-4 USA Hockey Coaching certification.
Currently, Coach Rodricks is the head coach for the Baltimore Stars Girls Hockey Program - U19 Girls. Previously, Julia coached with the Chesapeake Wild Girls Hockey Program, Saint Paul's School for Girls, Foundations Hockey - Summer and Spring programming (2023 - Present).
Looking back on her youth hockey days, Coach Julia fondly remembers tournament experiences, "Piling into a car or bus with teammates and traveling for tournaments will always be a peak memory of youth and college hockey. Particularly in youth hockey, the opportunity to play against teams from different areas, explore a new place with friends, and be on the ice back-to-back for two or three days straight are all irreplaceable memories I was lucky enough to experience."
As Coach Julia looks ahead to coaching with Team Tempest in Tallinn, Estonia this summer she is excited for, "Expanding my coaching experience with a new organization and players in a new setting. I couldn't pass up the opportunity to coach internationally at a high level of play and continue working to support the growth of girls' ice hockey."
Any player can spend a week at a random hockey camp this summer - just like any other summer. However, you're seeking the challenge of tough competitors, an elite coaching staff, the world-famous OneHockey event experience, and an adventure in Tallinn Estonia - an historic world capital.
We're all very grateful to the team at OneHockey for their dedication to delivering exceptional tournament experiences and to growing the game for girls.
