Colleen murphy
Coach Colleen is a graduate of Northeastern University where she played with the Division-I women's hockey team. After college, Colleen took her game to the National Women's Hockey League (NWHL) and the Premier Hockey Federation (PHF).
Murphy now coaches for the Montgomery Ice Devils 16U, Baltimore County Crash, and with Foundations Hockey.
Recently, Coach Murphy shared her thoughts as she looked back on her days playing youth hockey with the Carolina Jr Hurricanes and Prime Time Hockey. She shared, "My fondest memories were always going to tournaments with my teammates. Creating bonds with them, getting to know and making new friends who share the same love for hockey as I do. I am fortunate to experience hockey overseas and it is such an amazon experience exploring a new city and country with your teammates."
Coach Murphy is passionate about sharing her love of hockey, her experiences, insight, and guidance with the next generation of female hockey players and looking forward to leading the 16/19U team in Madrid. "I am looking forward to the entire experience but mostly being able to give the players undivided coaching and life lessons that she will never forget. If I can make an impact on these players and expose them to competitive, adventurous hockey, I am all in!"
Beyond the ice rink, Murphy has continued to excel as an athlete on the global stage with Team USA Ball Hockey. This summer, Coach Colleen and her teammates will compete for an International Ball Hockey World Championship in Switzerland.
Coach Colleen is originally from Cary, North Carolina.
Any player can spend a week at a random hockey camp this summer - just like any other summer. However, you're seeking the challenge of tough competitors, an elite coaching staff, the world-famous OneHockey event experience, and an adventure in Madrid, Spain - all the makings of a world-class experience with memories to last a lifetime.
We're all very grateful to the team at OneHockey for their dedication to delivering exceptional tournament experiences and to growing the game for girls.
