Coach Sarah Hughson, a Connecticut native, currently is the Director of Hockey for the Stateline Hawks. Sarah also serves as the head coach for the 16U AA girls team and an assistant coach withthe Greenwich Country Day School varsity team.
Coach Sarah played her youth hockey with the CT Polar Bears and The Frederick Gunn School. From there Hughson was off to Elmira College and then a 3-year career with the Connecticut Whale of the National Women's Hockey League.

With such a long and storied hockey career, Coach Hughson looks back on her favorite tournament memories like this, "Every youth hockey tournament is something you will never forget. Playing for championships is a new style of hockey and competition. My favorite tournaments were for USA Hockey National Championships where you played against the best of the best across the country at your age group. My favorite all time tournament was the 2018 NCAA Divison III national championships held at Norwich, where my college team competed in the final four and were runners up my senior season. "
Coach Sarah looks ahead to leading the Team Tempest 14U girls in Madrid, Spain she is excited at the idea of "Combining learning more about a new culture and place in the world with my favorite sport ever, while getting the chance to coach new faces and having the opportunity to impact more young hockey players as they embark on such a cool experience. "
